Event Overview

Since its formation in 1893, the International Association of Chiefs of Police has met annually to share insight, learn about promising practices, and discuss up-and-coming technology.  Each year thousands of law enforcement executives come together to continue this tradition by attending training sessions, networking with peers, and exploring the state of the art Expo Hall.

Workshops

Over 150 education sessions are offered to attendees.  Law enforcement executives present on current issues and trends while sharing lessons learned.  Topics from past conferences include, but are not limited to, strategies for leading change in police culture, how to survive a vote of no-confidence, online learning and operational support, public law enforcement and private security collaboration, violent crime, use of force issues, training, and case studies.

Exhibit Hall

IACP assembles the newest products and the latest technologies at the largest exposition designed specifically for law enforcement.  More than 800 companies showcase their products and services geared towards law enforcement.  The following six pavilions showcase all department needs:  Communication/IT; Vehicles/Accessories; Weapons and Tactical/Protective Equipment; Administration and Training; Forensic/Investigation; Personal Equipment (includes uniforms, badges, footwear, etc).

Networking

One of the top reasons law enforcement executives attend IACP is the unique opportunity to network with their peers.  The educational sessions and exhibit hall allow for formalized information sharing opportunities while social events, such as IACP's Host Chief's Night and the Annual Banquet, generate candid conversations.  The opportunity to connect with your peers is something you can benefit from throughout the year.

IACP 2010 will take place at the Orange County Convention Center, 9860 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, Florida, USA, October 23-27, 2010.
